Cruelty Free International is the biggest ever global campaign to end the unnecessary torture of animals by testing cosmetics on them for the sake of people's vanity.
Actor and comedian Ricky Gervais has signed the global pledge and is helping to raise awareness of the ongoing cruelty that happens behind closed doors as the campaign call on governments and regulators around the world to introduce a ban on animal testing.
Over 80% of the world still allows animals to be used in cruel experiments for the sake of beauty. Despite progress with some countries and companies, animals that many consider pets, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats, are routinely injected, gassed, force-fed or killed for cosmetic testing.
