Michael Jackson was always a big fan of 'healing the world' so it may not come as a big surprise to hear that that the singer was on the verge of releasing a new song that warned about climate change before his sad death on Friday.
The as yet unnamed song, which the singer was said to have been composing two days before his death, is just part of a library of 'secret tunes', now set to be released posthumously.
Nothing more has been said of the unfinished tunes, but following a weekend in which singles from Jackson's back cataogue have dominated the charts, they are expected to become huge hits. Although this is not the first time that Jackson has sung about the plight of the planet, his most famous 'green' anthem - Heal the World was virtually unknown in the US - a fact that will surprise fans (and critics!) of the overblown 1996 track that urged us to look after elephants and trees. Whatever you might think of is 'worthier' songs let's hope that the current interest in MJ's life and times will encourage fans to take note of one of their heroes' last wishes!
