The comfy 4-seater uses lithium ion batteries to power and unlike previous generation electric cars like the G-Wiz, doesn't dodge around EU regs by being legally classed as quadricycles. It's a car!

The C1 ev'ie benefits from all the usual things you've come to expect from a fully-fledged car: it comes in 3 or 5 door versions, it has a radio CD player with MP3 inputs, electric front windows and central locking, ABS brakes, driver and passenger airbags, power steering, and so on. You know, just like a 'real' car.
But the C1 ev'ie also even more to offer - low insurance costs, no road tax, no London congestion charges, an overnight charge from a domestic 13amp socket (it only takes 6 hours from empty to full) should cost less than a pound and will see you OK for about 60 miles, and a clearer carbon conscience.
More information about the car is available from the Electric Car Corporation. If you fancy trying before you buy then why not rent or at the very least arrange for a test drive. All details on the website.
