Until now, I had reached the conclusion that every single possible permutation of a 'non plastic bag' bag phenomenon that could ever be invented had already been done (to death), but it seems there's more life in that particular old dog yet - and given that a widescale move away from plastic bags has been shown to make a difference, this can be no bad thing!
The latest idea is to take the plastic bags handed out by supermarkets as the basis for your design, and create hand-made 'replicas' of those familiar designs. This one is by OBudah on Craftster. I've not seen any based on UK supermarkets yet, but think this is a great idea I'd love to see someone try it out with Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose designs! [Via Crafty Crafty]
