• London Ethical Fashion sample sale at the Truman Brewery
If People Tree jumpers for 20 quid and loads of cut-price eco shoes, t-shirts and accessories sounds good to you, you might want to head down to the Dray Walk Gallery off Brick Lane. You'll find some great bargains from some of the hottest brands in the world of ethical and fairtrade fashion. 11am-7pm Sat/Sun.

• Bristol The Christmas Veggie Roadshow
Christmas isn't always the best time of year for vegetarians and vegans, but this annual roadshow run by Viva! shows that saying no to turkey doesn't have to mean missing out on the fun. See details here for this tasty, family-friendly event. Sat, 10.30 - 4.30
• Swansea Festive Green Fayre
Held at the city's National Waterfront Museum, the Swansea festive green fayre is a great day out for greenies getting in the mood for Christmas: you'll find 50 stalls offering recycled, Fairtrade, organic, eco-friendly and renewable energy products, woodcraft, local handmade gifts, green books and more. 10-4 Sun; free entry, more info here
• London Animal Aid's Christmas Without Cruelty Fayre
Another 'fayre' for you to browse to your heart's content; this one is for anyone who'd prefer to know that their gifts didn't make an animal suffer. There'll be more than 85 stands here, selling animal-friendly and ethically produced Christmas gifts, plus a Children's workshop and press-ups competition. Think I'll skip that last bit and go straight for the advertised tasty vegan grub! Kensington Town Hall, Sun 10am-5pm, info here
