Enjoy colours of Autumn with the Woodland Trust as Timotei celebrates with forests of flowers

timotei.jpgWe all remember the Timotei ads of days gone by: only yesterday, a dark-haired colleague was heard to confess that she had thought as a child the shampoo would transform her short, dark, curly tresses to platinum blonde. But now Timotei's all grown up, and celebrating its 25th birthday with a more serious gesture towards nature and to helping our natural heritage. It's teamed up with The Woodland Trust to create a crop of 'forests of flowers'.

These will be spaces where nature can bloom and people of all ages can enjoy a rainbow of colours. The flowers to be planted include red poppies, blue cornflowers, pink campion and white daisies, which will in turn help endangered British butterflies.

If this all sounds like a great excuse to get close to nature and take in a bit of fresh air, why not check out the Woodland Trust site for a spot of tranquility close to home? You'll have to wait till June to enjoy the forests of flowers, as they're still being planted. But at this time of year, the trust has some fantastic suggestions for walks that take you through some of the most beautiful Autumn colour on display in Britain's woodlands. Go here for their suggestions.
