Vegetarian Society Awards 2008 shortlist is out
I do love the Vegetarian Awards. Each year, they represent an extra little bit of progress being made towards a society where eating meat just isn't seen as necessary anymore, because there's so much to recommend life without it: great places to eat, tempting treats and a wider choice of vegetarian body products to name but three motivations. Follow the jump to see the final nominations!
So, here's the shortlist of potential winners, as voted for by visitors to the website. I'm delighted to see some of my personal favourites listed here, including Demuth's restaurant in Bath, where I enjoyed one of the best meals of my life! I'm also rooting for Swedish Glace ice cream, which many of my vegan and omnivorous friends alike consider to be the food of the gods. So now the decisions are in the hands of the judges, it's tim to wish your favourite businesses and products the best of luck in winning this prestigious and increasingly high-profile award.
