Toyota and EDF present the plug-in Prius

toyota-edf-plug-in-prius-01.jpgA year ago, Toyota started testing its new electric version of the Prius in France, as part of a collaboration with EDF. Now, it's bringing world's favourite greener car in its petrol-free form to the UK, where 40 charging stations have recently been installed, and more are on their way.

For now, the only electric Priuses (or should that be Prii?) you'll see in the UK will be left-hand drive ones that are part of the trial; all to be driven by EDF employees charged with testing the cars' performance in normal, urban conditions.

The news brings a bit more credibility to the dream of having affordable, practical electric cars with enough charging stations to give drivers the confidence to use them for journeys of all times.

cool i think that all cars should be ecofriendly or plug in because i know i will be dead when (and if) climate change ruins the world but i still want to help!
