Focus on craft for a greener future
Many of us make an effort to avoid mass-produced clothes and accessories; a life choice that would once have been seen as a major sacrifice. But now, the craft revolution is in full swing, meaning we can make a 'handmade choice' towards goods made on a smaller scale that are often of better quality than their high street equivalents. As someone who loves seeing hand-made items on show, I can't wait to feast my eyes on a wide range of crafty goodies at a forthcoming show in the stunning surroundings of Crowthorne.

The Contemporary Craft and Design Show is just like the craft fairs you may have visited or helped out at during your schooldays -- only big, very big. It takes place at Wellington College, a historical school set in 400 acres in rural Crowthorne.
Here, you'll be spoilt for choice as you browse stalls from talented British crafters, all small-scale producers making unique and high-quality goods that are full of character
Opening times are: 24-26 October 2008, 1 pm - 6 pm Friday; 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Admission is £4.00 for adults, £3.00 for seniors. Accompanied under 14's free. Unlimited Free Parking.
