While I love getting my bod covered in natural beauty goodies in the name of research, it's good to let the experts loose on the latest 'hippy' products every so often to see how they measure up. Burts Bees is one label that's recently extended its natrual range to compete with the more chemical-laden anti-aging potions and lotions lately, so our friends at Kiss & Makeup asked beauty expert Ashlene McCormack to put their Naturally Ageless serum (£26.99) to the test.
"This product smells great and is a lovely texture to use. It is not unlike Decleor's Neroli oil in both smell and feel. I loved this and felt the immediate results lasted for hours. It took a little while to absorb so needed application at least half an hour before applying make up for the day to avoid make up transference. I would buy this product to use at home and recommend it to my clients. The only temptation is to use it all over my face. A dispense offering a smaller amount may help prevent overuse of the oil."
That sounds like a thumbs up to me!
doesn't it disturb you that Burt's Bees has been purchased by Clorox? My local organic market is phasing out the brand because of the acquisition.
