Squeaky Green: the Method guide to detoxing your home

'Why eat organic, but clean with pesticides?' That's one of the big questions posed by Method founders Eric Ryan and Adam Lowry, whose new book, Squeaky Green, explains their philosophy of natural cleaning and how you can apply it to your own home.

The book is set out in a fun 'room by room' format, and each chapter begins with a list of things to look out for when tackling the cleaning in each case: the 'bedroom' section, for example, points out the wisdom of purifying the air in the place you spend a third of your life.

Further on in the chapter it tells you how to do this, along with tips on ridding your room of dust mites without resoring nuking them with harsh chemicals.

The book is full of good advice, and makes some interesting points about how changing our approach to cleaning brings many benefits, both to the environment and to our health. Amazon currently have it on sale for £6.99
