GREEN CHALLENGE:leftover food week day 1
So here begins the week of me not wasting any food. A real challenge, for someone with eyes significantly larger than her stomach and a tendency to over-order! I am also not good with food that isn't totally fresh.
Follow the jump to find out how I'm getting on in my first day!

The week has started fairly easily: we'd grabbed a post-pub pizza takeaway at Spiazzo (Lily Cole's favourite indulgence, I'm told) and ordered way too much, as usual. Instead of munching through the cheesy goodness until I felt sick, I quickly bagged a couple of generous slices and got them into the fridge, ready for lunch today. They'll heat up nicely in the microwave.
I did, I admit, baulk at eating the three-days-past its 'best before' date houmus for breakfast this morning, and have instead fed it to my other half, who is a lot less squeamish than I. So while I didn't personally prevent it from going to waste, it has at least been ingested by a human.

What a victory for your first day. Great news on using the takeaway for your lunch the following day.
Humous is a pretty safe bet - there is so much garlic in there, it's unlikely to be bad unless kept out of the fridge.
Still, it seems you have rather a useful human bokashi to help you out, so you should get on well this week ;)
Good luck!
