GREEN CHALLENGE: Abi's leftover food trial

green challenges.jpgFrom Monday, I'll be running a new feature where I challenge myself to make a different green lifestyle challenge for a week and writing regular twitter updates on how I'm doing. If I run out of ideas, I'm more than happy to put myself in your capable hands, and see what you can suggest I do to make me more green.

Next week, I'll be trying not to leave any food, or use any leftovers the following day. Now, I admit that this will be hard for me because (a) my eyes are bigger than my stomach and (b) I've always been a bit squeamish about eating anything that isn't fresh -- I more or less want my veggies straight from the ground.

But from Monday, I'll be declaring a zero-tolerance policy on throwing food away, will try and be as creative as possible with those scraps, and putting my rubbish bin on a serious diet. I'll also be reining myself in when it comes to buying that extra lunch or dinner item out of pure curiosity; a good plan when I am also trying to save money.

If you have any suggestions for how to succeed in my quest, please comment below!

Hey, Mac!

I love the look of your blog, and will certainly check it out when I am miserably buttering my three-day old bread next week for want of better ideas ;)
