Friday Fun: Blueberry and banana smoothie
It's Friday, which means it's time for another tasty, healthy and seasonal treat to give you plenty of vitamins and positive energy for the weekend! This week, it's brought to you by our friends at Chow Vegan, who have shared their favourite blueberry and banana smoothie.
Blueberries are in season at the moment, along with blackberries, greengages and raspberries. So you should be able to get your hands on some fat juicy ones without too much trouble, whether it's from a local farmer's market, superstore or your own hedgerow.

Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Makes about 16 ounces
1 fairtrade organic banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk
6 ounces vanilla soy yogurt
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Dash of cinnamon (optional)
Toss all of the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.

Just tried this (without the cinnamon) and it's delicious. The colour's fantastic too, although my lips are now purple!
