Ecotricity boss attempts windpower speed record
Vehicles that run on wind power are about the greenest form of transport you can get -- as long as you don't mind travelling only in very blustery places.
And two Brits who clearly aren't afraid to get their hair ruffled up a bit are Ecotricity MD Dale Vince and engineer, Richard Jenkins, who are about to try and break the 116.7mph land speed record for a wind-powered vehicle, held currently by an American team, on Australia's Lake Lefroy. Ecotricity relies heavily on windpower to create clean, green electricity, so this is a great way to demonstrate its power. We wish them all the best in their endevour!
