Vote for your favourite urban tree with Trees for Cities
For us greenery-deprived city types, a tree is enough of a rarity to be worth getting excited about. Any leafy structure that hadn't been trimmed to the point of unrecognition to allow buses to pass by is a bit of a treat, and those that have been allowed to grow for long enough to gain historical significance are really something special. Which is why Trees for Cities wants Londoners to nominate their favourite tree in a vote that's open now.
Trees for Cities want to celebrate our leafy heritage, and are looking particularly for inner London trees of notable physical character, historic significance or that are growing beautifully in a landmark location. The winning trees get a special plaque and you might end up with a tree planted in your name, should you win their special prize draw. So get voting!
