Review: We say, "Yes to carrots"!

Yes to carrots.jpgYes to Carrots, a brand new affordable range of organic beauty products has arrived! The line's adorable name stems from the inclusion of organic carrot juice, rich with Vitamins A and C, in all their products. Other key ingredients are Dead Sea Minerals and other organic fruit juices.

We received some products to play with here at Shiny and the verdict so far is pretty darn good! Read on for full reviews of the Moisturising Day Cream, Rich Body Butter, and Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser.

Read on for our verdict

Yes to Carrots Delciously Rich Body Butter (£6.99)
Although its made with shea butter, the texture of this body butter is more like a really thick cream than a butter. It doesn't melt that well with body heat either, so I found it easier to spread on damp skin. But once its on it sinks in rapidly leaving you with smooth, happy skin with absolutely no greasy afterfeel.

I appreciated the light fresh scent of this product too as it won't clash with your perfume making it great for slapping on after hopping out of the morning shower. It promises to be gentle on dry, sensitive skin and is enriched with vitamins A & E.

Yes to Carrots Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser (£6.99)
This is possibly my favourite product of the lot. This milky cleanser has porcelaine-fine apricot-seed exfoliating particles that gently polish and buff your skin. The creamy base with organic carrot juice and dead sea mud sooths you skin, leaving it feeling fresh and perfectly balanced.

After rubbing it in for a minute (as per instructions), my skin felt silky smooth and looked glowing but not red. My only complaint is that the cleanser is too watery to be packaged in a tube and would be far better off in a pump dispenser.

Yes to Carrots Moisturising Day Cream (£8.99)

This cream was reviewed by Hippyshopper editor, Abi Silvester as it better suits her dry, sensitive skin. Here's what she has to say:

"I tested this product in the middle of a heatwave when most moisturisers feel hot and sticky, so I was particularly impressed by how light and un-greasy it felt, even in those conditions. It sinks into the skin in an instant, and really quenches, especially if your complexion is dry. The scent is fresh and fruity, making this a great all-round day moisturiser"

The products are currently available at Debenhams and Boots nationwide.
