Review: Essential Care creamy coconut cleanser
This week, I've been trying out a coconut cleanser by organic skincare brand Essential Care.
I spotted this tasty-looking, organic and vegan cleanser over on Edible Beauty, and having been on the lookout for a mild yet effective cleanser for most of my adult life, decided I'd give it a try. As luck would have it, the test coincided with a particularly dry patch for my skin (which is itself liberally covered in dry patches.) Often, I'll refuse to try a new product at these times for fear of an itchy flareup, but the bottle promised that this cleanser is suitable for 'dry and sensitive skin', and the brand is known for its natural Eczema remedies. So I bit the bullet and slapped it on.
Read on for my verdict!

The result was one of the most soothing and gentle cleansers I've ever tried. As anyone with dry skin will attest, most cause some stinging or residual dryness, so this came as quite a surprise. It cleaned my skin effectively, dealing with my thick, "bad-gal lash" Benefit mascara very nicely! Not bad, when you consider that the ingredients are a mild, totally vegan blend of skin-conditioning coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil and essential oils including clary sage. The cleanser has a delicate, fresh scent that's entirely a product of these oils, so there's no need for stingy, artificial fragrances.
Essential Care's Creamy Coconut Cleanser is available at Edible Beauty for £12
