But now I reside in London I'm, quite frankly, too terrified to try biking! Cycling in London is not that bad. The traffic moves so slowly most of the time that bicycles can easily keep up, if not overtake.
Start off on the back streets and practice looking over your shoulder without changing direction. Take your time. And remember, if you get freaked out, you can always stop and push the thing for a while.
