Big Brother 2008 to "go green"
This year's Big Brother contestants are in for a surprise: they'll be expected to adopt some 'green' habits during their time in the house, including growing their own veg and recycling.
Producers of the Channel 4 show have said the 16 wannabes will have to cultivate their own potatoes and carrots and season their food with herbs from the garden. As well as having boxes to grow vegetables in the garden, this year's "green" Big Brother house means there is also a large recycling bin in the kitchen. All sounds like fun to me, but judging by certain past characters and their attachment to the central heating in July, I can't imagine the good life will be entirely what all contestants will have had in mind for their TV debut.
