Wedge Card invites you to 'try it local' in Waterloo
Since I've had my Wedge card, I've discovered a whole new dimension to shopping that has led me beyond the generic, high street chains to all manner of unique, independent shops selling everything from funky jewellery to occult books. You really would be surprised at how many traders have now entered into the scheme, which offers discounts on products sold in local stores.
And to raise awareness of this little card and the adventures it will send you on, Wedge is holding local shopping day tomorrow, in Waterloo
Visitors to the 'shopping extravaganza' will be offered a range of lovely local goodies from some of the shops who are part of Wedge, including a free manicure and a vintage raffle, to encourage them to discover more of their local shops. Wedge will be down, giving away cocktails and chocolate cakes too...a true hippy shopper's paradise. Visit the site to find out details of more fantastic offers on the day, and to print out a flyer.
Not got a Wedge card yet? You can apply for one online, here.

Is this promoting local shops or green/eco/sustainable local shops?
Nice idea though.
