Mineral makeup has long been a well-kept secret among natural beauty afficionados, but now it's hitting the mainstream it's more important than ever to ensure you select a brand that's as natural and ethical as it says it is -- and I can start off by saying you won't have any of these worries where Inika mineral makeup is concerned.
Certified vegan, not tested on animals, GM-free and with reassuringly short ingredient lists, Inika is as pure as it claims to be, but how well does it work? I'm currently testing the Peach Puff Pot available at Edible Beauty for £15. Read on after the jump for my verdict...

Now, even if you know sod-all about mineral makeup, the one thing to understand is that it's always based around loose powder. In a blusher, I think this is no bad thing because pressed powder can be hard to blend, and creates ugly, obvious lines. The best thing about Inika's blusher is it's so subtle, so loose that you barely notice it go on. But once it catches the light, the pigment shines through, creating a lovely, natural glow.
The peach colour I tried is rather pale, but gives enough of a contrast to shape the face and give a healthy-looking blush, either on top of foundation or bare skin. I really can't recommend this product highly enough - it's certainly all I'd look for in a blusher, with the added bonuses of being so ethically made. Shiny green stars to Inika!

Hi,
I read your advertising regarding Inika Mineral Cosmetics......
You can't imagine which a story I have for you as their Canadian distributor!!!
Very very briefly:
After I got 3 huge department stores for Inika in less than 9 months, one day they cut me out and trying to contact the department stores by themselves.
Canadian are super fair people, all the 3 dropped the line and told me that they have never met a company with such luck on integrity!
I can tell you all the details and you will shock!!! If they treat people like this, how can trust their products??? Natural??? ....who knows...there are so many mineral private labels on the market!!!
The declare "recycled": the only thing is recycled is the paper box!
They declare Made in Australia: they get the pigments from US!
Ask them a receive for offsetting carbon emissions! You will never get one!
I have their Training Manual with all their tricks and deceptive market techniques……
I know that some people will take advantage but I can’t believe that women that declare to be ethical and own the “TheThriving Women Network” website used me like this.
Sincerely,
Silvia
P.S. – I apologize for my writing but English is not my first language.
They did the same thing to me recently Silvia and if it is any consolation - they are going broke and owe a lot of people a lot of money. What goes around comes around hun !!!!!!!
