Simply Dishwash: fragrant, eco friendly cleaning
After having a good experience with Aquados' Simply Active laundry tablets, I thought I'd give their dishwashing tabs a try - and where better to trial them than in Shiny Towers' busy kitchen.
I tried the citrus variety of Simply Dishwash, which hits you with a nice burst of lemony freshness as you open the tub (and also when you take out your clean dishes, which is nice).
Simply Dishwash carries the new European Eco Label, as well as endorsement by the vegan society, which is good news if you don't want any animal products touching your plates. All ingredients are biodegradable and break down naturally into harmless substances. However, it's simple to use as any normal dishwasher powder, shaped into standard-sized tabs that fit easily into your machine.
The cleaning quality of the product is pretty good, with only a couple of knives out of one big wash coming out with traces of food (we think they were probably particularly dirty knives). Glasses - which I think are the real litmus test - came out shiny, and the citrus scent was particularly popular! I'd definitely buy this product, and recommend it to eco-minded friends.
