Dorling Kindersley has set a new standard in sustainable publishing with a series of books it claims is the most environmentally conscious range in the world.
There's no new trickery here; the publisher has simply stated that it achieved its aim by using only vegetable inks, 100% recycled card and "environmentally friendly" glues. It has also done away with the dust jackets traditionally found on hardback books. The range, called 'Made With Care' so far includes a reference guide to organic gardening and a children's encyclopaedia on the environment. [Via BBC]
