Myhab: available to book at a festival near you
A year ago, the idea of a cardboard tent seemed like a highly unlikely, if not undesirable prospect for your temporary festival home. But following a successful trial, the Myhab is about to make its debut on the festival circuit.
Compared with pitching up your own tent, choosing a Myhab is in many ways a luxury option. They come pre-erected at various festival sites, including Reading, Leeds, Latitude, T in the Park and End of the Road festivals, and are fully waterproof, made from ultra tough recycled plastic and water proof cardboard.
They're also a greener option, as let's face it, tents aren't great. Every year at festivals, they're abandoned -unwanted and unloved - left to a long slow death in a landfill somewhere. Rubbish!
In addition to being greener and hassle-free, Myhabs have the advantages of keeping occupants cooler (a door at each end allows air during the day and the raised base keeps the nights damp free), comfy (they come with soft foam bedding) and personalised: to avoid stumbling embarrassingly into the wrong myhab, you can personalise your own with a nickname, character or message when you book online!
The two-person Myhab costs £240 per festival (regardless of number of nights) to rent.
