The Earth Collection: clothes with a conscience
The Earth Collection is a rare thing: a chain of shops selling exclusively eco-friendly and fairly traded products in locations spread all over the UK.
In each branch, you'll find ethically sourced, environmentally friendly and affordable clothing and accessories for men, women, babies and children, all made specially for the chain under really rigorous ecologically sound principles. There are currently 30 stores around the country. So why haven't you heard of them yet?
The chain is owned and managed by a Danish team, who until now haven't done much in the way of self-promotion. But they deserve a bit of a heads-up as the production methods they use are green as they come. For example, they exclusively use dyes that do not contain heavy metals and only work with dye houses which clean and recycle their waste water.
So is you happen to be passing one of the chain's branches over the weekend, why not go in and give them a try?
I have just found out that 'The Earth Collection' have just opened their first discount outlet at the Lowry Outlet Mall at Salford Quays, Manchester and are selling stock at some really, really good prices, if anyone is around that area it would be well worth a visit!
