The competition for the Greenest gadget is over: The EnerJar wins!
Did you know there was a Greener Gadgets Competition? I didn't, but having just discovered it, I can't believe I didn't think of it first! They were looking for the most innovative design and interesting use of eco friendly materials, and the EnerJar won! This is an easy to build DIY device that measures how much energy appliances use, and lets the average consumer become more aware of their power output. It looks quite cool as well, but I'm slightly more drawn to some of the other entries, such as the funky bamboo degradable mobile phone (pretty much does what it says on the tin) and my favourite, the self powered twist camera, which is an absolutely awesome idea, and looks really stylish as well.
