Amy Winehouse to sing at human powered venue
The term 'people power' is given a whole new meaning at Dutch nightclub Watt, which relies entirely upon human energy to generate its electricity. And by that they don't mean guys pedding away on bikes behind the scenes; they mean revellers' sweat and urine!
And rumour has it that 'the weirdest club in the world' will soon be playing host to one of its weirdest performers: Amy Winehouse has been offered a £350,000 incentive to come and sing at Watt to promote awareness of this much overlooked form of renewable energy.

How does it work? Club spokesmen have explained that the toilets are flushed using rainwater, while vibrations from people jumping and rocking out on the dancefloor will create electric currents to charge a battery or other devices. I still don't get how the urine and sweat come into the equation here, but all reports state that these particular bodily functions are involved...
