Cool concepts: windup bedroom lamp
Designer Yuko Taguchi has done a great job in coming up with this windup lamp concept. Now, could someone make it please? We've got windup radios, media players and all sorts on the market, so surely a simple light should be a doddle to make...
The prettily-sculpted wooden lamp is equipped with a large, fairy-tale style key which functions as both a switch and a timer. The lamp is powered by an internal spring-driven generator similar to a dynamo, which takes away the need for batteries or mains power. You can keep an eye on how much power is remaining in the lamp by means of a built-in timer, but it would also be great for anyone who likes to doze off with a good book in hand.

That's so cool. I would totally go out and buy one.
