Surprise eco-friendly gadget of the day: HDMI cables

hdmi_tpe.jpgI've just been doing some research on Wikipedia about Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer materials. Why? Because they're allegedly more eco-friendly than PVC, and this here HDMI cable is made of them.

It's like this: TPE materials have the potential to be recycled and reused unlike rubbers with similar qualities. Plus they require little or no added agents and the production process consumes less energy. Got that?

It's a 25-foot cable with gold plated connectors to avoid interference, available for $69.95 (£35) with discounts for bulk buys. As we move towards HD content it means you can get great quality with a little less guilt.
