This lovely wood-mounted card from The Green Apple is one of the cutest I've seen. 'By My Honey' is a product of sustainable-yield forest management: the wood is cut thin to achieve a high quantity of product from a small amount of raw material. In turn, very little power and no water are used in the process.
This set of four 'little bird' cards from Say It Pretty are blank inside, hand-stamped on recycled cardstock and come with matching envelopes. As well as the valentine's bird (pictured), there's one with a heart in the speech bubble, one has a red cross (for get well wishes), one has a music note, and one has a cupcake with a candle (for birthday wishes).
This lovely, tactile card by Jane Says was was made with lots of love from her daughter's old valentine shirt. I can see why Jane didn't want the 'cutie' embellishment to go to waste! Instead, she up-cycled it to make this very elaborate card with oodles of goodies for your special person.
Say it like it is with this simple-but-lovely card by Girly Whirly. It's 30% post-consumer waste and acid free - which is better than a poke in the eye.
(or, indeed, a tacky, Hallmark-style card that's been mass produced and printed on virgin wood pulp!)
