Georgia Tech university working on a fossil fuel-free car
A new project aiming to make driving greener has been launched at a university in the US, hoping to produce a working fossil fuel-free solution for motorists in the next few years.
Students at Georgia Tech are aiming to develop a car that runs on recyclable carbon. They're developing a method of capturing carbon emissions using an inbuilt fuel processor that separates hydrogen from carbon in a liquid fuel, powering the car with the former and storing the latter; ultimately this would be deposited at petrol stations for recycling, taking fossil fuels out of the automobile equation. One day it would be really great to right a post saying that the solution is before us, but here's hoping.
