Co-op and Friends of the Earth team up for charity credit card

friendsoftheearth_card_final.jpg

You can be a real hippy shopper and donate to eco-friendly causes every time you shop with this attractive new credit card from Friends of the Earth and the Co-operative Bank.

How does it work? For every account opened, Friends of the Earth will receive £15, and the bank will then give them a further £2.50 if the card is used within the first 6 months and then a further 25p for every £100 spent on or transferred to the card. Oh, and the card itself is also as green as they come: it's made from a material called PETG, which virtually eliminates chlorine and a whole bunch of other toxic materials found in standard PVC credit cards.

More details on the card and info on how to apply are available here.
