body%20shop%20japanese%20cherry%20blossom.jpg
New from The Body Shop is a limited edition Cherry Blossom scent and body butter, body puree, shower gel, and a reed diffuser to go with it. The Japanese-inspired scent comes in super sweet bottles and features top notes of Fuji Apple, Chinese Magnolia, and Osmanthus Flower, combined with a heart of Star Jasmine, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Persimmon and a base of Sandalwood and Hinokiwood. Yummy! [Via Kiss & Makeup]

Come on, how can a company owned by L'Oreal be ethical? It undermines the whole 'against animal testing' mantra, when the mother company makes full use of animal tests. I honestly don't think a blog about ethical consumerism should advertise L'Oreal products.

Totally agree with the above two posters. There should be no place on this blog for a once-ethical company that sold its soul. L'Oreal will never change their ways, and efforts to promote Body Shop with view that people pressure will change them are futile.

The list of ingredients for the Body Puree:
"Water, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Fragrance, Carbomer, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Hexyl Cinnamal, Sodium Hydroxide, Benzophenone-4, Linalool, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Disodium EDTA, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, t-Butyl Alcohol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Citronellol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol, Geraniol, Denatonium Benzoate, Red 33, Yellow 5."
Tiny, tiny amounts of a few natural ingredients plus a bit of olive oil, and lots of nasties.

There are lots of great organic, natural and ethical companies out there - let's promote them instead!
