Get a fiver for your old M&S clothes at Oxfam

recycle%20clothes.jpgA joint venture between high street staples Oxfam and M&S means you can now take your old items of Marks and Sparks' clothing into the charity shop and receive a £5 reward in the form of an M&S voucher.

The deal, which should jolt a few apathetic types into action, is part of the M&S and Oxfam Clothes Exchange, the UK's biggest ever clothes recycling campaign. Customers donating an item of M&S clothing to Oxfam will receive a voucher worth £5, valid for one month, with a purchase of £35 or more on clothing, homeware of beauty products.

M&S Chief Sir Stuart Rose said: "it's good for customers, good for people in developing countries and good for the environment". The offer, which is currently on trial for six months, could become a permanent fixture as part of the M&S 'Plan A'. So get ransacking your wardrobe for those old M&S trousers that haven't fit you properly since Christmas, and trade them in for some new items!
