Green Tomato Cars' green lifestyle in a bag

green%20tomato%20kit.jpgWe know Green Tomato as the people behind those silver Priuses (or Priii, as Alan Partridge would probably say) that cruise the capital as the UK's first environmentally friendly taxi service. But they've now branched out from cars alone, and are now offering 'green starter kits' to help people make good on their eco-aware resolutions and embark upon a greener life.

The kits costs £9.99 and could save you between £50 and £100 per year. It's packed with all sorts of useful stuff to get you started, including a water-saving device, radiator panels to reduce energy leakage, a set of 'no junk mail', 'turn it off' and 'recycling' stickers and two energy saving lightbulbs. On top of the monetary saving, each kit is estimated to save 400kg of CO2 a year, the equivalent of 17 car journeys from London to Bristol. You can pick one up at Green Tomato's site.
