Supermarkets are now 'struggling' to keep up with the demand for free range chicken following Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's expose of the poultry industry earlier this month.

In a recent appeal to supporters, Fearnley-Whittingstall has asked that shoppers at these establishments help him provide evidence that free range birds are flying off the shelves everywhere: he wants you to take a picture of the free range poultry section of your local supermarket and send it to him. He is particularly keen for signs explaining why free range produce is out of stock.
