American Apparel supports US immigration

US Fashion label American Apparel, famed for it's cheap basics and slightly pornographic advertising campaigns, has had a change of approach and taken an ethical stance supporting immigrants to the US. The company’s founder and chief executive, Dov Charney has now decided to launch a political attack on America's immigration policy.
The new advert is a black and white image featuring two Guatemalan workers with Charney's statement underneath. The campaign states that the status quo “amounts to an apartheid system” and should be overhauled to create a legal path for undocumented workers to gain citizenship in the United States.
Charney is not afraid of controversial publicity. “Let me be clear who makes our clothes. It is a collaboration between American-born people and non-American-born people,” he said. “I don’t think supporting immigration reflects negatively on my brand, and in fact, it makes it look like we’re a responsible business.”
People have been divided by the campaign as to whether it is helping the cause or creating a problem. What do you think?

Those in AA's target market are probably already dumb enough, but are they so very dumb that they'd believe the ad copy? If so, I'll point out all the ways he's wrong.
