A more reliable solar charger on the horizon?

solar-charger_6648.jpg

It looks like the latest Nintendo DS, but that's actually a neatly-packaged, dual USB solar panel that will power up your personal gadgets cleanly and greenly. Solar chargers are nothing new, but having started off with quite a few hiccups, these devices are getting smarter and more effective at doing their job.

What's different about this one is that it's equipped with a built-in lithium battery that takes about 4-8 hours to charge through sunlight and thereon transfer the charge to your appliances. Apart from sunlight, the battery also gets life when attached to the AC power or your car power. Available at USB Geek.

Hi - I don't get what's different though. Havinga lithium-ion battery isn't new for a solar charger - that's now the Freeloader works.
