Widu: handmade sustainable hairbrushes

widu_2.jpgSick of throwing away old mis-shapen, tacky plastic brushes that chew up your hair? Why not keep your tresses looking stunning and replace them all with FSC-certified wooden brushes from WIDU - the name being the old English word for 'wood'. The high quality, Italian hair tools are made to last, and the sustainable hornbeam bristles are designed to stimulate the scalp and reduce hair breakage.

As well as being great to your hair, these brushes are works of art in their own right. Made by artisans in Italy, one of the brushes - the 'Modern' - has become a popular 'exhibit' in museum shops around the world. No toxic finishes or lacquers are used in Widu products, wood is finished with linseed oil or beeswax. A recent review in Sustainable is Good claimed that the brushes would 'clearly last a lifetime' which is definitely what we like to hear!

Widu brushes are available online, and the company ships worldwide.
