Mister Splashy Pants: Just two more days to vote!
Just a quick heads-up to remind you all that the as-yet-unnamed whale adopted by Greenpeace will be officially 'Christened' at the end of the week. In the poll set up to choose a name for the humpback whale, Mister Splashy Pants is still the odds-on favourite, currently with 76% of the vote.
The poll has become big news on the internet, which is great news for Greenpeace who wanted to raise awareness of the plight of humpback whales, which are under constant threat from Japanese whaling fleets that hunt them in the name of 'research'. Let's hope that the yet-to-be named whale will live a long life free from such misery, whatever he ends up being called.
So: Mister Splashy Pants, then. Do you think this is a fitting name for a magestic, sea-dwelling mammal, or would you like to bestow him with a bit more dignity? The choice is yours.
