I'm happy to see that my favourite eco-chic fashion label has finally found itself a home on the web. Ciel has now opened its online boutique, so you can buy direct from the stylish, sustainable label that brought us the stunning 'Amy' block print dress in the summer, and upholds a strong eco philosophy.
The range currently up on the site includes some gorgeous chunky knitwear including sweater-dresses and leg-warmers that would certainly make welcome additions to the wardrobe as the December temperature turns decidedly seasonal.

Ciel's main designer, Sarah Ratty, certainly knows her stuff: when she isn't working on the Ciel range she's an eco-fashion textile design consultant advising both Pan UK & the Soil Association Textile Committee and is also vice chair of the Ethical Fashion Forum. Sarah has been working in eco-fashion since 1990 with Conscious Earthwear the first UK eco-pioneer brand.

Ciel have some beautiful clothes but I would caution anyone against buying direct from their website as their customer service seems very poor. They sent me an item I had not ordered and after I returned it to them have still not refunded the cost to me 3 months later despite numerous emails and phone calls.
