Amie: Natural skincare for green teens
Natural, paraben-free skincare is moving out of the luxury market and into a high street near you, with new brands made specially for teenage skin - and at prices that younger people can afford. This should come as great news to teens and their Mums, since the last thing most people need is nasty chemicals irritating their delicate and often-problematic skin.
Available in the new year at Boots, Superdrug and other chemists, the 'Amie' range is formulated specially for young skin, using fruit-based and botanical ingredients. All products are at least 95% natural, suitable for vegetarians and vegans and free from the usual harsh ingredients like parabens, petrochemicals, sulphates, alcohol, animal extracts and GMOs. The makers add that Amie is 'teen, not animal tested' and the funky, futuristic packaging is 100% recyclable.
Products in the Amie range include a fine-grained, mango-scented face scrub and Mattifying Morning Dew moisturiser with nourishing rosehip, contain 95% natural ingredients and are free of the usual harsh ingredients (petrochemicals, sulphates, alcohol). Prices start at £4.75.
