Sophie Ellis-Bextor gets green guilt
Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who recently teamed up with N-Power to promote their 'greener schools' programme has admitted that her jet-setting lifestyle has made her feel bad about her impact on the environment:
“Maybe it is my guilty conscience" she said recently. "As a pop star, you build up quite a bad carbon footprint from all the flights, touring, lights and so on, so I suppose it’s a way of using my profile to slightly rectify the balance.” The pop star is also involved in other causes, supporting anti-fur campaigns and also promoting climate change awareness with I Count. Check out this interview with Sophie to learn about why she’s taking action to protect the environment and to get more information on the Greener Schools project.
