Love food, hate waste?
The news that Britons throw away a third of their food is a depressing but all-too-believable statistic. We might as well be leaving every third bag of shopping we buy in the supermarket and saving the effort of carrying it home!
But help is at hand with a new nationwide drive from WRAP to cut food waste. Love Food, Hate Waste launched today, offering loads of creative solutions to our growing food-waste mountain. On the website, you'll find tools to help you choose the right amount of food to cook for any number of people (very useful if, like me, you still don't know the correct measurements for rice!), how to keep various foods fresh and at their best and some reminders on why reducing food waste matters. It's a thought-provoking read, and well worth a look.
