If our feature on sustainable real Christmas trees didn't convince you, you still have options - namely building a tree out of your own stuff.
This one's been built out of someone's entire library, but other household items that could work include: Wine bottles (coloured with glass paint, perhaps) old, VHS tapes, tins of beans, old shoeboxes...the possibilities are endless! You could even decorate your 'plant' with some bouncy, eco-friendly lights like these ones by Oliver Heath.
It all sounds like good, clean crafty fun. But I'm still sticking with a Norway Spruce...
