New sheep-friendly winter coats from Izzy Lane

izzy%20lane%20coat.jpgI've just taken a peek at the new Autumn/Winter range from Izzy Lane, the luxury knitwear label that saves old or 'useless' sheep from from the ovine equivalent of the knacker's yard by re-homing them and cultivating their wool.

The four new 'Shetland Coats' are available to view on the website, and look exceptionally warm as well as being very stylishly cut and on trend. With prices starting at £330, these coats are far from cheap, but they are very special coats, each with a unique history.

The Pure Shetland wool Empire Coat (pictured) has an empire-line cut with princess seams and under-bust vertical pleats, front and back. The garment has a funnel collar to be worn up or down, off-centre buckle fastenings, concealed shell buttons, pockets at side seams and the upper body and sleeves are interlined.

In addition to the new coats, Izzy Lane stocks a luxurious range of men's and women's cashmere, Wensleydale and Shetland garments, in a range of beautiful colours.

"Far from cheap"! what planet are you living on Abi? they are "Giveaway" at that price! when did you last look at the mass-produced rubbish made of pain and suffering or "oil" that the rest of the world produces? for your information I paid £1150.00 for a Loro Piana jacket last year and it was good value, Izzy Lane should be ten times the price considering the "Ethical" value and the passion and compassion that goes into each garment! It's better than Burberry and it's "English"
