The Ethical Junction website exists as a general database of ethical organisations, as well as a facility allowing companies to establish links with one another and advertise on each other's sites. The site also hosts a news resource, Ethical Pulse, which allows Ethical Junction members to keep each other updated with company news. The site's search engine, Ethical Search, filters down results so that it only brings up information drawn from Ethical Junction directory listings, the homepages of Ethical Junction members and news stories from Ethical Pulse.
There is a standard screening process in place which decides if a company is suitable to join Ethical Junction. The criteria which a company must adhere to includes, amongst other things, supporting responsible, fair and sustainable trading practices, demonstrating positive care for the environment, and operating non-exploitative employment practices (and asking the same of their suppliers).
