Green living is exploding on the scene or perhaps teetering, if it turns out to be just a money-spinning fashion trend. Anyhow, impressing me this month with a simple, stylish, and eco-friendly dress collection is Beau Soleil, launched in August 2007 by Anne Salvatore Epstein. The company concentrates on sustainability and fair trade and organic raw materials to enable consumers to look fashionable in environmentally conscious clothing.
Epstein and her husband swapped their New York City high life for a simple organic life and Beau Soleil was born. Epstein uses fabric crafted from bamboo, a fast growing and sustainable grass, vegetable-dyed organic cottons and vintage tencel, which is made from eucalyptus trees, along with recycled leather trims.
If you are looking for dresses with a touch of understated chic for the winter season, Beau Soleil is the place to shop.
You can purchase the collection at Intermix and Shopbop.com.
