Black gold – learn how at a Compost Clinic
Composting has to be one of the ultimate green activities. It stops tons of waste being put in landfill and makes a useful product that can return nutrients to the earth and help grow lots of lovely fruit and veg at home. What more could you ask?
And yet, many people don't compost. Why could this be? One very common reason is that they don't know how, especially how to get started. That is where compost clinics and workshops come in.
Lots of councils and green groups run them, but this one is at the famous Chelsea Physic Garden. By popular demand, they are held two or three times and year and the next sessions are on Wednesday 10th October, 11am-12.30pm and 2pm-3.30pm. The cost is £15 per person and booking is essential.
You can bring any technical questions you have, learn from scratch, including about animals that live in or around the compost. Whether you have a huge garden or just a patio, you can learn how to reduce your waste and make 'black gold'! Numbers are limited to 20 per session, so book early to avoid disappointment, the next sessions aren't till March next year.
